Hi everyone! I've just started my food business @thechicksfood and want to ask for any ideas, input about eco friendly packaging.
Here's what I chose:
Thinwall. This is plastic but I choose this because I thought this is quite sturdy so people can wash and reuse this
I'm using gummed tape instead of the regular transparent tape that's made of plastic
For the bag, I'm using a spunbond bag, again so people can reuse this. But I'm wondering should I use this or opt for compostable "plastic" bag made out of cornstarch?
Lastly, to tie the bag, mostly cable ties are used. I think because once it's locked, it has to be cut open so it provides some sort of a safe feeling for people to know that no one touch the things inside, especially in this covid time. But, I'm looking for an alternative way because cable ties are made of plastic and it's single use. I'm leaning towards burlap rope as a replacement. Yet, I want to ask for your opinion or ideas first.
That's my consideration. If you have any kinds of input please do let me know. I appreciate it and your time so much, thank youuu!❤
