Easy Vegan Recipes You Can Make in 15 Minutes or Less! With The Green Butcher and Burgreens

Have you ever wanted to eat delicious, healthy meals but never know what to cook? Not to worry, we got your back! Here are two recipes for you to try at home!

Green Butcher’s Nasi Gila Recipe

For those who are big fans of Indonesia’s Nasi Gila but want a healthier alternative, this is the recipe for you!

Healthy and delicious Nasi Gila by Green Butcher

Servings: 2 people


Spices to Blend:

10 pieces of curly red chilies

2 small red bird’s eye chilies (spiciness can be adjusted)

10 medium red onions, finely chopped

7 garlic cloves, finely chopped

100 ml of water


2 tablespoons sweet soy sauce

2 tablespoons hot chili sauce

½ teaspoon soy sauce

½ teaspoon salt

Salt and pepper to taste

Main Ingredients:

1 piece Green Butcher Chickpea Sausage

8 pieces Green Butcher Shroom Balls, sliced

6 pieces Green Butcher Chick’n, shredded

2 plates of white rice

5 Bokchoy stalks, sliced

Chopped white cabbage, as you’d like

2 pieces of tofu, scrambled, ½ cooked

1 spring onion, chopped

4 tablespoons of oil to saute




Pickles (shallots, carrots, cucumbers)

How to make:

To Make Spice Blend:

  1. Slice all the spices and place them in the food processor.

  2. Blend until smooth and set aside.

To Make Nasi Gila:

  1. Add cooking oil, saute blended spices until fragrant.

  2. Add the main ingredients gradually - white cabbage, sliced green onions, sliced Green Butcher sausage, shredded Green Butcher Grilled Chick’n, Green Butcher Shroom Balls, and scrambled tofu (egg substitute). Stir well.

  3. Add chili sauce, soy sauce and sweet soy sauce, salt, sugar and ground pepper. Cook over medium heat until cooked. If you want it extra spicy, add more red chili at the end of the cooking process. Once everything is cooked, set aside.

Serving Nasi Gila:

  1. Serve over warm rice on a plate, and garnish with cucumber, pickles, krupuk and fried shallots!


Green Butcher Chick’n Melt Recipe

A delicious, healthy and vegan chick’n melt using simple ingredients and easy to prep but has BIG taste!

Servings: 2 Sandwich


English muffins or any bread of your choice

4 pcs Grilled Chick’n by Green Butcher

Vegan Cheese

1 Onion

Mushrooms, sliced

Vegan Mayo (optional)

How to make:

  1. Brush oil the English muffins (optional) and grill

  2. Caramelize onions by sauteeing sliced onions with 2 tbsp. of oil in a non-stick pan for about 10 minutes until browned.

  3. In a separate non-stick pan, slice mushrooms and saute with 1 tbsp. of oil until borrowed.

  4. Place 4 pieces of Grilled Chick’n by Green Butcher on a non-stick pan until golden brown.

  5. Assemble sandwich (add 1 tbsp Vegan Mayo if you’d like) and your Chick’n Melt Sandwich is ready to serve!
