WASTE BANK MAP
What is a Waste Bank?
The concept of a Waste Bank is identical to that of a normal bank.
However, instead of money, Waste Banks collect and store dry garbage which has been sorted. Those who store their garbage will have a saving book and have the ability to borrow money that could be paid back using garbage worth the amount of money borrowed. The value of the garbage is determined by its weight.
The bank would then sell the stored garbage to factories or groups who make crafts from trash or give them to individual garbage collectors.
This aims to prevent the accumulation of garbage in landfills and provide an incentive for citizens to collect their trash which potentially would reduce litter and river pollution.
